I been riding 1.5" diameter pegs for like 6 years now.... and over a period of lots of riding, over the years, I've noticed my feet are literally deforming!

I tend to do a lot of single footed rolling tricks standing on my left foot, and most of my scuffing tricks on my right foot.... most of my riding is rolling or revolves around rolling.... and a lot of my links tend to start with a steam roller on my left foot, or a karl kruiser....  well, i noticed the other day, while i was in the shower that my left foot has a taller arch profile than my right... its like a hunch in the bones, as if they were shifted upward... it doesn't hurt or bother me.... but im just concerned about the long term effects on my feet.... I really do think its the pegs that did this... when I got out of the shower, I stepped on the bike barefoot, and noticed that the hump in the bones in the top of my foot, lined right up with how I stand on the left peg in all my left footed tricks....

I don't know if i need stronger shoes that don't flex as much when i stand on them, or if i just need bigger pegs...

Im thinkin its the pegs, cause the years of riding I did on 2" pegs my feet were fine.... plus I've heard of other people switching back to larger pegs cause over time it did start to hurt their feet....

I'll post up some cell phone pics of my ugly ass feet if anyone wants to see what 6 years of pretty vigorous riding(with 2 injury gaps in there, so technically only 4) on 1.5" diameter pegs can do to your feet.....

id like to switch to some 2" pegs, but theres really no companies that still makes them... so I might have to get some kmart bike pegs off ebay or something.... or dig around on vintage bmx for some primo tube steaks...

I'll support dans comp till bmx companies start selling direct to their customers...

interesting observation. Id like to see the pics...  I was wondering about the long term effects of flat on the body. Always being hunched, the annoying injuries, joint longevity..

Start with more supportive shoes!  I like the Nike Air Flight 89's but the Air Flight Condors are very similar.  Maybe switch to 1.65 or 1.75 diam pegs first 2" is huge and often need to be modified to fit on your forks.

Im going to machine up some 1.7's for myself. I just made up some 1.625 dia.x4.5 for a Cleveland guy and I hope he likes them . He said they were good, but ya large pegs are not easy to come by.
