i would like to start by apologizing for any grammatical errors; I am Posting from a blackberry. I am a racer formost and I am beginning to notice that, try as I may, I am terrible at jumping. The only jumps I have hit successfully are no bigger than 4FT tall and 7FT long withe one exception. The one exception being a 30FT table. The larger doubles on the track prove to be too much. One thing I have tried doing is shoveling the bedford park mini with a landing. I would drop in, boost as hard and high as I could, only to land with my back tire a mere inches behind the coping. I can't find jumps with all the snow and the only ones I do know of are the 603's in Nashua and the piscats in Manchester both of Wich are huge and complex. Any ideas on how to get past this barrier? That's a pretty impressive post from a Blackberry, you're apparently either really patient or really bored. LOL ;)

If you're landing too close to the coping, see how far you can go as opposed to high. Try and pump the lower half of the transition pretty hard, and then basically bunny-hop over the coping, so it doesn't throw you as high. Try this for a while until you can get some good distance, and then find a happy medium between the two.

And most likely, you need to go faster.

Ok I will try that when the ramps thaw. What I am more concerned about is trails and track jumps. Does the same thing apply to dirt jumps and track doubles?

loosen up, i don't even have to see you ride and i can tell you that you are too tight... why? because i'm a racer and i was the same way.

think of your legs like "shocks" absorb the transition, then boost off.

hard to describe over the internet, watch some dirt jump vids in slow motion and you will see how theier body reacts to the transition and lip. you can even watch a dirtbike jump and get the idea of the whole "shocks" thing

and yes, you are probablly better with your blackberry than i am with a full keyboard
