I'm having trouble getting the stem off a DB frame at the moment, there doesn't seem to be any other way to remove it except a large hex nut underneath. None of the spanners I have are thin enough so I thought I'd get your opinions before I go and buy a spanner thin enough.![]() Apologies for the image quality, my phone was the only thing that was working. | what it looks like.... is like a regular 1" stem, but the bolt isnt there. there should be a bolt at the top that runs down into the steer tube and then when you tighten it it wedges a metal piece. ive seen where the stem rusts into the steer tube and it holds without the bolt...so thats what it looks like. turn it up side down and throw some wd40 into the steer tube and let it sit...then just wack the stem out with a hammer ![]() | |
