| I understand that a flatland frame may have a bent downtube that allows extra foot clearance. Is there any advantage to having clean geometry (straight tubes) as opposed to bent ones if all you are going to do is flatland riding? Also, I have a 2001 Powerlite P-28 Intruder I'm learning flat on. I like it (except I think it's a little heavy), but it is a dirt jumping bike, and therefore does not have a gyro. According to danscomp.com, " You can use a gyro on a frame with an integrated head tube only if the frame has gyro tabs on the head tube or the head tube is drilled for removable gyro tabs." I do not have gyro tabs. Does anyone know if I can put a gyro on my bike? | |

| Well.. to be honest your bike isnt made for flatland. It has BMX Geometry/ long head tube proably 20.5 inch TT and a 14inch cs which will make it very hard to do flat. You can ride flat with a frame like that but you are making a hard thing harder.
Hoffman bikes does make a lower gryo tab plate called the hoffman D cup its about 13 bucks or so they have it a flatland fuel.com you may want to ask them if it will fit your particular frame. Or you could put gyro tabs on your frame you can drill them. Its a pain but i have done it. I would check out flatland fuel though they may have some lying around | |
