I'm completely new to flatland, i might have the chance of getting an old free agent air raid (older model, looks heavy) for cheap. my question: is that a good starter bike? on its website it says its more for "advanced" raider

Whats good! Welcome to the wide world of flatland....first off, flatlandfuel.com is your new best friend. Any flatland related and some unflat related products can be found there Pats the owner anything you need hes your guy.....Now about your bike situation......I highly recommend a smaller frame.......BUT since your getting it for cheap as long it not over $200 bucks your set, you can basically ride what ever suits the style your going for.....not everyone has to start on a flat bike (I started out on a 18in girls Kent...then moved to a Haro revo then to a 21in top tube t-1 barcode) my first 3 bikes weren't even near flatland specs........GOOD LUCK BRO!

... also the top tube is 20 or 20.5 its that too long for 168cm (5'6")? the frame is not '4130 chromoly", but i figure i dont need a good frame to start, right?
ill try to get that bike then.
but since im a newbi and i figure i dont need much expensive flat-spec stuff yet
