I'm new to this forum and BMXing alltogether. I used to race quad bikes and now that I'm 15 I will be racing a 250cc, I just can't keep up with the money and it's all getting very expensive....so I thought I'd convert to BMX which is an amazingly fun thing and cheaper!! So could anyone recommend a starter bike for me....I'm looking for something between the price range of about 120-200 or maybe push it a bit further, I will be ATTEMPTING skateparks and freestyle, and I'm 15 so if anyone has any suggestions on that please share. Oh and any suggestions on anything else to help me will be appreciated.
Thanks!

In my opinion for racing, I would reccommend a '99/'00 Robinson SST.  They are light, fast and the frames are 100% chromoly.   You would need to get one used, though, since GT went bankrupt in '01 and closed all their other companies, including Robinson.   Or else a DK Fury ($245), or MCS Tracer Pro ($280).

For an all-around bike, I would say a either a DK Signal ($290) (a flatland bike, but with light street capabilities)  or an Eastern Lowdown/Paydirt (steel frame: not very good, $180/200).   or a DK Rage.  ($180) DK General Lee ($230). That is about as inexpensive as they come for a halfway decent bike.

To be honest, you will generally not find a good bike for under $200-250, unless you can get it used.  I would save up or get a used one.
