| has anyone really put this stem to the test? the reason i am asking is i m about ready to switch my stem out- and i had only 1 concern- it looks so close to the fbm chokehold stem- and when i called about that stem (the fbm), dave( @ fbm) said people had problems w/ it , and they made something new. well i dont want to shell out $60 on a stem that isnt going to work for a few more years so , any help would be greatly appreated!!!! thanks tim how can you have an economy w/ nothing to loose? | |

Hey Tim, I had one a while back before I started messing with stem reach. I had the 48mm one, I think they only make 38mm now. As far as the grip, It held on very well. Thing about the stem was, you have to use 2 american allen keys . 1/4 inch for the face and 7/32 for the pinch. I was always lacking a 7/32 when I needed it. But no biggie. The other thing i often wondered, was how easily the pinch clamp parts would be to replace, if need be...?? Other than that, Great stem. John | |
