ok,now i am mad,i went to turn my ipod on,and the symbol comes up,and goes to the sad ipod icon,then it will go to the folder icon,and if i have it plugged in it goes to the very low battery,and im really pissed cuz its not charging or anything,its just sitting there

anyone know whats up,and how i fix it
Just to get by,we keepin it fly.

anyone know how long the battery will last? i just picked one up. what goes on when the battery is beat? can it be replaced for a reasonable price?

if your ipod is still in warranty it should be free to have it replaced by apple.
if it is not, it may be around 60$, luckily for the general ipod owners, you dont NOT need a receipt to show proof of purchase. if you dont have a receipt there is a way to register you ipod and put in your serial number (on back of ipod). apple will automatically estimate how long your warranty was by shipment dates and how fast it was selling at the time. this actually gave me 3 more months that my actual receipt date : ) (i found my receipt later even though apple never asked for it). hope this helps show how lenient apple is on repairs.

also, apples return is a you pay for shipping kinda thing. you report it, if they see your under warranty of if it can slightly be their fault they send a SASE express DHL kinda thing. three days you get the package, with an envelope for express delivery of your ipod. they fix it within 1-3 days. sent back express again. when my ipod had problems, i had a brand new ipod (diff serial #, w/o errors and even firmware upgraded, new unscratched screen) by the next 6 days. no joke. am i an apple fanboy, hell no i run windows xp64. but in some mysterious way, apple seems to know what they are doing and they are making money off it with ipods. and they did set the standards and raised them even higher when competition came.

i had an iriver h10 before also. locked up all the time. broke quickly, they had a bad return system & support service. basically stuck with a 20gig external hard drive with bad transfer rates. and no way to have it repaired even if i paid them. seriously i've tried.

thanks for the info. you know, i never would have got one of these things if not for riding. i got sick of riding with no tunes and listening to the barking dog who lives next to my ride spot. i'm glad i picked one up........it's pretty cool, you can fit a ton of shit on that damn thing, and yet there is an 80gig.......shit! i never owned an apple product till now, but i hear they've always put out a great product. peace.
