well, I can see that my post made it this time... It logged me out and I had to log back in to make this one... It appears that none of my formatting went through.. I tried to make a list of problems... all of that stuff was supposed to be on separate lines... Im trying again to see if "enter" works... if this is all one long paragraph then it doesn't like separating stuff onto different lines. The font is sooo small I need binoculars to read any of it..
You can spark it up, but im'a put you out!

This thread is all of the sudden gone from the General Pedal Discussion forum. The only way you can enter it is using the 25 latest posts box.

Post here everything that doesn't work or needs improvement on forum. I'll start: When you post something, the thread doesn't go on top of page. Next!

Old PM's will be imported soon, I apologize for their being missing. I need to merge two databases into one with a custom script, due to a pointless and annoying way the old site decided to store them.

The quotation on thread reply issue will be fixed.

New replies since last visit does not work, but will soon. It is tracking your visits, I just need to code in the displaying. Also, just use the "Recent Forum Posts" box on the home page, that's pretty handy.

More:

Each page only fits 5 replies, way too small, considering how SLOW the server is.

When you reply to the message, the forum throws you to the first page, not to the message you've just posted.

I can't log in with my old name and password. My browser, Safari, shuts down when I try to post something.

my browser doesn't close anymore and I was able to login by resetting my password. My old one was only 4 characters and I think the new site requires at least 6, so I couldn't login till the reset password function started working.
The problem now is that I can't choose my own password that I can remember, instead of the random long one the site generated for me.

Nick, I think I know what might bring the audience back - change the background color! White is very discouraging, go for some light yellow, blue, green, or something.

Also, I would personally get rid of these sub-categories for hook-up and classifieds sections on the front page, it forces me to scroll, and i know that people generally are too lazy to scroll.

Finally, the server is still very very slow, THIS IS THE MAIN ISSUE.

But I have to say, the forum is improving steadily. You are doing a really really good job so far Nick.
