bottom line, a politician is a politician.  rather they are democrat, libertarian, whatever.  they all lie, they all could give a shit about the country.  as long as they are ok, then they think the country is ok.

Im curious which constitutional rights you see up for grabs in this election

I see republicans wanting to mess up the constitution to stop gay marriage

I see democrats wanting to destroy the 2nd ammendment and also a democrat sponsored anti-flag burning ammendment

I dont want to replace the religious nutjob right with the racist, sexist, religious nutjob left

I hope like hell some third party guys get in

I sort of see it like this. I'd much rather have a guy behind the wheel who has had a wreckless driving charge on his record rather than a drunken hit and run.

I see republicans doing a lot more than stopping gay marriage. I don't think a single fucking republican in power gives a shit about the sanctity of marriage, but rather uses that as a way to rally up people to get them to the polls to vote republican so they can continue to pass whatever legislation they want while pandering to the anti-gay folks. It's just a means to power and has nothing to do with the morallity of marriage or gay rights.

I personally think that members of the senate and house should only be able to serve at the max one term then be forcefully bumped out to bring in new blood every couple of years. That way we don't have the Rick Santorums and Tom Delays of the world sitting on their nice comfy incumbant seats.

grrrrrr

prohibiting Gay marriage is a losng battle ASK Santorum... and even the idea of  repealing existing abortion laws isnt an issue any politicians survive..so they arent going to change.

Abortion will always be here....and Gay marriage IS going to happen despite whos in office.  Meanwhile the 2nd amendmant was raped. The fear was already made reality.

So in real world terms..what republicans feared already happened to them. the Assault Rifel laws apssed WERE that removal of a womans right of choice. Thats why I dont think the liberal mind realy knows HOW far left things shifted in that forty years a they had sole control almost.

The religeous right DOESNT dictate what the Republicans do. If you think so then why isnt abortions and fighting against gay marriage their top issue? Hell even top five?

Its top five for a small group within the Republicans...but Conservatives had total control or the house and senate for 12 years and total control for 6 and all the paranoid dellusions people had about convservatism and its so called  religeous base never materialized.

What did Bush or conservatives accomplish on these so called anti abortionist pro lifers war against womans choice? Nothing because he anf most conservatives never cared. Same with the gay marriage issue.

People talk and do seperate things..while the 2nd amendment was targeted and raped and worse by people claiming a liberatarian status.

What makes you think your vote counts? Why cause you're told so? My favorite saying is "Don't Believe Da Hype!" ....
