it also makes work for me seem so much longer, cuz in the summer it  would get dark at 9,so that meant only like 2 hours till it was done which made it short, then it got darker at 7ish,8,that was good because it was more than halfway over, now its dark at about 5,6,and it sucks
Just to get by,we keepin it fly.

Dayligh saving time goes into effect in the spring and last through the summer and into early fall. Days are naturaly longer in the spring and summer, but we lengthen the evening by setting the clocks ahead by one hour. This gives an hour less of sunlight in the morning, but an extra hour after work. The idea is we'll use less energy to light our homes. The down side is that the sun is up longer, and it's up while people are at home, so we have to run the air conditioners longer. Since lighting only acounts for 25% of our home energy use, dst actually uses more energy.

In the early fall through spring, we go back to regular time. That's where we are now. The days are naturally shorter. I think we should change the current system, and actaully reverse dst. Spring backward, andfall forward. We would lose an hour in the summer, thereby allowing our air conditioners an extra hour in wich to preserve energy, and gain an hour in the winter, allowing our heaters to do the same.

Im not planning anything around Katrina period. If we ever changed the daylight saving..which by the way NO ONE sayd..daylight saving..they always cap it with an S..anyhow..I would never change Dayilight SavingS just for New Orleans. If you go back and read I obviously would rather it happen because its obsolete..not just for the rebuilding og NO. I would site shadyness and misapporpirated rebuilding funding as a bigger issue in the rebuilding of your city.

If i had my way the only part that get rebuilt would be the french quarter. Sadly.

I wasnt trying to get into a "im right" thingy. Daylight Saving'S is just a bad idea period.

The rest of the US is doing pleanty in accomdating the NewOrleans rebuilding effort. Ask the crime ridden people of Houston. Hell they just forced entire families who havent payed rent out of my complex that were conributing oh so much to "our" community.

I blame Benjamin Franklin for screwing us out of sunlight. Many will blame Bush.

You're not trying to sound right, yet you insist, three times, that the correct spelling is "daylight savings time."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time />"Note: since the name daylight saving time logically implies that the word saving is a verbal adjective modifying time, the spelling daylight savings time, with one more 's', is incorrect."

Ending DST (wich, again, stands for daylight saving time) in one region would not hurt the rest of the nation. Just ask the good people of Arizona. Oh wait, I already said that. You just didn't realize, I guess, that even though Arizona hasn't observed dst in years, it has had no effect on the rest of the nation. No one had to accomodate a damn thing.

And Ben Franklin didn't sign the Energy Policy Act of 2005, wich extends dst by a few weeks starting next year.

I dont give fuck about this enought o be insisting anything..I just think your anal for correcting someone for adding an S which everyone add's abyhow..right Or wrong..your the only paper grader saying daylight saving....even highly educated news anchors say "saving's...so correct me again on something oh so important. I'll keep correcting yu on things that matter.

and I even pointed out it was obsolete..but not for something like rebuilding a city which shouldnt exist to begin PEr my tax dollar. Thats silly..
