I've got an '06 GT Zone, and I was looking to customize it up a bit. It is pretty much stock except for a 40t Odyssey sprocket and some Bulletproof BMX Pedals. I'm looking to drop all the way down to a 25t sprocket, but what would be a good size freewheel to match?  I've planned on buying Eastern - ATOM 25t Sprocket, Bars, and Stem because Eastern put out some quality stuff and everything listed is quite cheap for my tight budget. I'd just like to get any suggestions/objections to help me out a bit.

Thanks.

you cant run a freewheel with a 25t sprocket. if you want to downsize your gearing that much you need to switch over to a cassette hub with a 9t driver. the smallest freewheels are 13t i think. 36-13 is absolutely the smallest i would recomend.  otherwise you'll be pedalling as hard as you can, and barely moving at all. bars are unnecessary. i'd put my money into a wheelset. and then cranks. check into Odyssey Hazardlites. theyre really nice, and relatively cheap. profile racing makes awesome cranks.

Thanks for the help man, I was actually thinking about the bar thing myself and have decided not to get new ones.  I'll deffinately go with the 36-13, it does seem a bit more rational.

Thanks for helping me out, keep it coming.
