No, though, because its easier to see what movies are playing from the guide channel and just watch one (you dont have to flip thru 60 movies lol). if theres something specific you want to see, then go rent it, if its not on your tv.
i dont have movie channels though.
Id say the big problem I have with the movie channels is the fact that I have all the movies I really like on dvd... so its like most of the stuff on those channels I either own on dvd and can watch when ever I want... Or its stuff I don't want to watch cause it sucks... Or it may be that I've seen the movie too many times... Theres never any movies on those channels id like to watch... By the time a movie hits those movie channels, its been out on dvd for a while, and if it were good I would probly already own it on dvd... and its the same with a lot of people I know... Now if HBO had its own HBO only movies/specials that were decent, then I might watch them... but they don't.. I've watched a few of the HBO specials and they really aren't entertaining... I watched some reality show about real pimps on that channel and it was kinda boring....

im different from almost everyone i know in that i havent really seen a bad movie. its an hour and a half of a story, you watch it, its entertaining. im not picky i guess, its just a movie. so i can usually throw any one on and be into it. but if you own every movie you like then i think there isnt gonna be much in the way of movie channels that you would enjoy. i wonder why i find every movie entertaining though [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[

My brother talked my mother into getting digital cable. 200+ channels of nothing to watch. After it went out, and it was going to take them two and a half weeks to send someone out (seriously), she switched to direct tv. Same shit, different company.
Your just not watching the right channels good sir. All the discovery channels, all the history channels, all the HBO affiliated channels except for Cinemax, Starz, Encore, the aforementioned channels On-Demand, and the HDTV channels. There is alot to watch, but also it depends on where you live, you get a different service.
If I want to be educated, I'll read a book. Much more info, and much more entertainment, with no cammercials, all in the comfort of my bedroom. How many specials can the History Channel possibly have about Hitler and the Holaucaust? And the so-called premium channels play the same movies over and over. I've seriously seen Hellboy like two dozen times. HDTV? Give me a fucking break. Yeah, it looks better, but no matter how you turn your head, it's all the same bullshit.
All I need are Simpsons and Sienfled reruns, and those are available on DVD.

Its more of a personal preference. The History channels include the Military channel, another history channel that only has to do with much older history, pre 20th century stuff. But I can watch Cosmos with Carl Sagan a million times, best show on TV.

I wish there was a history channel just dedicated to ancient history.
