This probably should be in tech but its open to anyone who wants to figure it out

The whole weight craze thing forces people to not run gyros. So instead, we run straight cables because they are easier to manage and whatnot

So... I have a nokon cable, which is comprised of a bunch of beads that twist and turn seperate from each other

If i ran a nokon, into my stem, down the top tube, drilled a whole right before the cable stop for it to come out of, and ran my brakes normally from that point back, would it work?

I really dont see why not, other than cutting a small hole in the top tube (which people already do for internal routing) why wouldnt this work?

Would they get bunched up in there?

any input would be great

P.S.
I turn 21 in 4 days!!!!

So, basically, here's what I think.

If your looking for a rear-brake gyro-type setup, I don't think it would work. Because even though the bars and cable are spinning up round' the headtube, the rest of the cable stays static, so over time the cable would either keep rotating inside the housing and stretch itself until it breaks, or it would unwind itself and break due to the great decrease in tensile strength.

I'd say either get a Gyro, get a long straight cable, or don't run brakes.

nah. wont work. i had the same thought, but i realized that the fork legs get in the way of the cable when it spins.

yeah exactl, have a look at the fset site, for their hydraulic brake detangle, it' very much like what your thinking in a sense, but there pushing hydralic flud fluid a little bit different than a solid cable
by the way happy bday for whatever date it is.

The F-set works great, I run it on my KHE Unique. If people know how to work on it, it works as well as a gyro. I noticed absolutely no decrease in braking power. None.
Many people suck at working on their own bike. It's just a fact. I won't debate how much of a pain in the ass it was for me to replace that upper cable when it broke (having to disassemble/setup my front brake again and remove my stem, etc). But the braking power is still there, 100%.

haha ah sorry dude, i didn't mean that sence, I was actually sorta refering to there hydraulic brake idea, sorry if i forgot to mention an importnt detail, haha, sorry.
nah i realise thats a very true statement, all it takes is some basic knowledge, and little bit of skills and your all good to go, but seems a lot of people are missing that, haha.
