| Didn't see this until just now. UFC events are almost impossible to find, even on youtube.com the night of the fight. They may be posted on youtube that same night, but will be taken down within the hour. The UFC really cracks down on that stuff (Pride takes a little longer to remove the videos, and some of the smaller organizations never force the videos down like WFA, KOTC, etc). Find a bar nearby that you can watch the fight at for free. A bar within 30 seconds walking distance of my apartment shows all UFC event (converted from an old movie theatre) and charges no cover to get in, and so I get to sit in movie theatre seats and watch the fights for free. :) If you didn't see the main event yet I won't ruin it, but I'll say it was a great fight. The UFC's website has some sort of PPV where you can watch on their site (I think). You can also find bars near you on the UFC website. If the website charges per fight, skip the Florian/Sherk fight. If it charges for the entire event than I guess you have no choice. I only caught those 2 main fights, and Florian/Sherk was not exciting at all and showed no strategic skill from either guy in my opinion. Just not much action, standup or ground game. ![]() Frequent punishments are always a sign of weakness or laziness on the part of a government. -Jean Jacques Rousseau | |

| Just saw it, man Silva's knees were great. I can't believe Franklin just stood there and tried to absorb them. I mean how hard is it to get out of a Thai clinch? Looked like Franklin's nose was broken too. | |

| Franklin's nose was about an inch (maybe more) offline. If I were in his corner, I wouldn't have let him do a post-fight interview looking like that. Some asses in the crowd were laughing at him and how bad his nose looked. What I don't understand is why he would think the clinch would be his strong point. He said he expected it to be his main strength in the fight, and it didn't work out for him. Why would you expect to dominate the clinch against a guy who mainly trains muay thai (no offense to Silva but his black belt is not legit imo)? Frankin just has to get Silva on his back and he's defenseless. Bad gameplan on Franklin's part, but he will be back. Was anyone else surprised with how deceptively strong Silva looked? He is wiry and looks weak compared to Franklin, but in the clinch Franklin tried to drive Silva back into the fence and Silva spun him around and drove Franklin back like a ragdoll. I was very impressed with Silva and was expecting Franklin to overpower him (considering Franklin cuts as much weight as one can cut to get to 185, anyone remember when he fought at 205?) ![]() Frequent punishments are always a sign of weakness or laziness on the part of a government. -Jean Jacques Rousseau | |
