Remove the paint from the clamping area on the bars and make sure there isn't any grease on them or on the stem. The rims are probably bent because you never tightened the spokes. On a stock wheel like you have, you need to tighten up the spokes after a couple weeks. The spokes will stretch quite a bit and become loose making your wheel a lot easier to become untrue. You just need to get the wheels trued. If you bought the bike from a shop they should do it for you free. If you bought if from a mail order, you're on your own.

make sure the bars are not crushed at the clamping area. if they are a new stem won't help. a shop will charge about $10-$20 to true a wheel.

You mean nothing if the bike was purchased from your shop? Or nothing to anyone regardless of where the bike was purchased?

my peice of shit mongoose has the same stem problem
i filed little grooves in the stem, gorilla glued it in place, and put lok-tite on the bolts,
it lasted like 2 months almost.
now the bars are super bent, i'll probly buy a new stem and bars, seems like the bizhouse stem is pretty popular, so that'll be what i get. any rejections?

give the doorman a fucking high-five
