hit up BMXTRIX.COM :-DJust pick a trick and start throwing it into the mix when you ride! It helps to not try to hard on one trick but work on three or for at a time. At least thats how it is for me...try that if it doesn't work try some different methods.

Ive just started out too and been askin similar questions!

like JayDogg said, go to bmxtrix.com, loads of great info on how to do tricks and shows a video as well so you know what you should be doing :)

from what people have told me, starter tricks which lead onto other things, or teach basic skills are things like fork glides, track stands and hang-5's.  there are probably people who will give better advice than me, because im just repeating other, its not first hand experiance!

good luck anyways  :-)

I wouldn't go so far as to call a Hang-5 a basic beginner trick. Once upon a time, it was actually looked at as one that took some skill and had difficulty behind it. Hang-5s are strange too, some people have a knack for them and can do them in days, or a few weeks, whereas it can take others a year or more to get the hang of it.

I suggest learning Endo control, Trackstands, Fork Glides, Squeakers, and Backwards Steamrollers, and Dork Wheelies as your first tricks personally. Definitely hit up BMXTRIX.com though, it is a great site for people just getting started.
