um... i dont know if there would be a difference in geometry. definetly lighter parts and cheap front wheel probably, lots of people do it because it doesnt take any beating unless you bail or something

street bikes are usualy low and short
trail bikes are high and long
trail riders usualy have slim seats
street riders have primos or other seats like that one
trail riders usualy have 36s street riders 48
tires are different

Am I really hearing this question? brettdotcom14 go look up(on the net or in real life) some street bikes and trail bike and see if you can notice the different's between them....I bet you'll find alot.

yea umm... street bikes and trail bikes are set up differently which is true, but most street or trail bikes can be used for either, the differences are not great enough that it should effect your ability to ride. For instance i ride a dirt tire in the front which helps steer and keep control dirtjumping, and i ride a street tire in the back. I dont know what "primos" are but i guess it is refering to the company, i do have a Primo brand seat, but that doesnt label me as a street rider or any other type, it jus means that i like that particular company.

i also dont agree about the short bars for street riders because i have 28 inch long bars an can barspin fine... longer bars also help for manuels so blah.
