Hello Pedal freaks!  Do you all consider a bike part has to have a certain look to work for either flatland or street/ parks/ dirt?  Do you put looks above function, or vice versa?

Just curious...

function above looks.

my bike looks like shit on a stick.

rides pretty much fine, just a bit heavy in the back.

I put function before looks because id rather have a part that works right than one that doesn't work but looks good

Im not gonna lie,id say both are around the same, but function a bit more over looks(im not caring about the trendy look either) i just like a certain look of my view.
I like having parts that i think will be good, and look good a little (only for me),im a tad picky on certain things, like bars-.EX- cant ride four peice bars(i wouldnt like it),nor front brakes,or four pegs.

i like to look at a nice looking bike

i put looks first then function, but if it looks good and doesn't function how i want i won't want it

so basically i keep them evenly balanced

plus most of the stuff looks good anyway :-D

I'd say both equal.  Unless there is some great part out there that is just so superior, but looks like crap.  After an all day session I like to relax, and sit next to my bike, and just look at it.  I mean really, is your bike not closer to you than anything else?  Plus I treat it like a lady.  Use it, but don't abuse it, so I can still take it to town at night.
