Hey,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on ramps.  I used to have a 4 ft halfpipe in my backyard.  I just recently moved and I took the halfpipe with me (a lot of work).  The ramp was 12' wide and had 4' decks on each side and 16' of flat.  I'm a carpenter's daughter and I do have mad ramp building skills.  I only know lip tricks and simple stuff so I wanted to use the parts of my old ramp to make an insane box jump/funbox thing in my backyard.  I just want to jump things, but my new backyard is small and fenced in.  I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of room I would need on a 4' jump to stop.  So far I have built the ramp toward the gate of my backyard.  That way the gate has to be unlocked before you could get the speed to use the ramp, and it would keep out unwanted guests.  2nd I have an 8' section of quarter left over, should I use it to make a longer quarter so that I could do my lip tricks or should I use it on the other side of the landing??

Maybe you should get the dimensions of your backyard so we can understand how big/ or small ur back yard is. If its that small it should be self explanitory for you to know if you can stop or not. Maybe you could put the quarter pipe at the end of the run so you dont have to stop.. you can just 180 on it and then go back the other way... :-o
