| well i used to like them,still can listen to them,not bad,i havent listened to them in so long,and just the other day i was wondering if they even still make music anymore,sooo..........every morning i put on tv guide channel for the time until i have to go to school,and i usually flick through the mtv's,and i came across a video,and today i seen one and was like,hmmm who is this.gay mtv didnt say who it was in the beginning or the end like they usually do,so during the whole song im like,this seems like AFI,the music does in ways,but not really,and all the band members i could tell are from AFI,especially the lead singer,lip ring,style,voice,etc,but he has lame hair now and wears some make up,i am very disappointed if this is really them,im 95% sure it is,they dont seem like the type of music they used to make,and it sounds terrible,so if anyone comes across this horrible video or song,let me know if it is them,sorry i dont know the song name.but i think it just came out,so they should play it alot. Just to get by,we keepin it fly. | |

| If I recall correctly the lead singer of AFI had some sort of throat disease and had to stop singing. I don't know if he is better now and can sing, or what, but from what I understood they were over. I don't know about this video, but I was utterly dissapointed when Sing the Sorrow or whatever came out. I miss the All Hollows E.P. days. | |

| yea, AFi is back with a new album. i used to be a fan of them but now the lead singers hair just pisses me off. i know its stupid to judge a band on the way they have their hair, but his hair is just too much. they have a new single called Miss murder, i think it sucks. i havent seen the video yet but that was probably the one your talking about. im an idiot | |

| (Okay, this is not one of those ego-booting, bragging sessions... just funny) ... not gay, although I really could care less what you think I was because for one, hardly any of you actually know me and for two, it was just a funny situation, and for three, I´m pretty much open to most things anyways... But yeah, I definitely had a kiss on the lips with Davey Havoc at the Roxy in LA in early 2005. Ha ha... yeah, I don´t know, really random. Long story short, met him in the bathroom, I got excited because Davey Havoc was taking a piss next to me, he asked me where I was from, I said I was from Bend (they played there, once), he talked about how much he likes Bend, invited me to his table for some drinks, got up on stage and sang a song with another band that was playing, and walked off the stage and passed me while he gave me a kiss on the lips. Ha, yeah, random... not sure if it was cool, or just creepy and weird. | davey havoc came out the ,closet 2 years ago, i was expecting that since i was like 12 (almost 10 years ago). anything after black sails in the sunset really isn't worth giving attention to, imo. pulling that throat problem on all the old fans for an excuse to suck, is the same thing that rod stewart was doing years ago. then it was rock and roll and now its shitty watered down punk rawk. music repeats itself. www.myspace.com/weredonkey | |

| Damn it, some one beat me to the after "Black sails in the Sunset" they suck statement. Seriously though, they went from awesome to, well pure shitty Emo. Not saying all Emo is bad, but that kind of Emo they sing is, that crappy Fall out Boy shit. Sorry to all those scene emo kids. | |

| I'll actually go one step further and say that, in my opinion, anything after "Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes" is not worth listening to. But most people didn't know who AFI was back then, so... When I saw AFI live around 2002, I went with a girl I worked with. They came out on stage, and I was looking at Davey and thinking "this can't be AFI, this can't be the band that plays all those badass songs on the Shut Your Mouth album, he looks like Marilyn Manson's little sister." The girl I went with probably thought I was lame for liking a band that looks like that. Then they played some slower song and everyone was holding up their lighters. I was thoroughly pissed off, because I've never been to a punk rock show and seen that before, and hopefully never will see that again. They have definitely left what I consider to be the 'punk rock' genre, and are more a part of some emo/gothic/pop style. I still like Very Proud of Ya and Shut Your Mouth though. It's too bad they put out such great albums and then totally changed their style. Anyone who has heard "Shut Your Mouth" knows what I'm talking about. It's like 2 different bands.
