saw the deftones for about the tenth time last night. it was awesome. they usually play about 60% lame shows (and i say this as a fan). but, the shows that go off go off hard! last night was one... when they played the entire album... back to front... of 'around the fur'.

amazing.

it was a one off show from the festival they're on. just the deftones. no opener. sold out. INSANE crowd.... and FREE! that's right! i got in for free!!! (the 1,100 other people had to pay... but not me).

Wish I could have been there.
I've only seen them.. 2 times I think. Both times kicked ass.

deftones were alright on Taste of Chaos. Enjoyable, mostly stuff from White Pony, not the best possible deftones you could ever see but they had quite a bit of energy for being the old guys.

My Deftones story:

Yesterday, I went to the closest "city" 75,000 people or something. I visited every music store in the city, searchign for deftones because i had the biggest deftones craving, and i had been meaning to buy their cds for a long time. So I go to every single one, none of them had Deftones in stock! I was deeply sadened.
