David, that was at an AFA contest in 1989. Grundy's ice skating rink in Bristol, Pennsylvania. That was the first hitch hiker in competition. Billy Neuman tried to do one in his run before Kevin's but he sketched on it. I think Billy's cousin, Jayce, told him about it.

I got the box set for christmas. I would like to point out for anybody who doesn't know, In Dorkin 4, chase's first appearance in the dork's. QUAD DECADE!!!!!!!!
Like, the hardest f#cking trick imaginable (in my opinion) And he was like 19.

Hahaha, yeah I saw that trick and it didnt' even register to me that he was younger than I am now when he pulled that. And I still can't do even one decade (I'm kinda slacking off on learning more back wheel stuff).
I was really glad I got to see Mark at the York Jam and tell him how awesome the box set is. Every flatlander needs to see it, it's just incredible.

Heh...the quad decade is certainly impressive, and a rare treat, but if I may quote myself -

"Picture a rollaid that just begins a back wheel link. I'd bet there are only a handful of people in the world that can do them, and many fewer that can do them into a link without the front wheel touching down. And that's probably not even the hardest thing he does."

For those that can't do decades, picture a rolling one - and not just a brakeless off the backwheel decade, but a true as hell, 15 MPH rollaid to start your back wheel link.

I agree with TJ too - the Chase segments are filled with seriously intense energy.

Chase and Kevins sections in Dorkin 10 are great.
