Go fast, pump the transition, and pullup to match the transition. By this I mean mellow quarter = pull back harder, etc. Go at a slight angle until you are ready to go straight up. Air out a little at first, lean to your downside, and aim the front back into the tranny.

I'm a rookie myself and have been working on the same thing. This may sound crazy but, one of the guys I ride with had me working on them this weekend on a 13 ft vert ramp to get the feel. I am no where near the top yet but, I can get both wheels off the ramp. The plus side of doing them on a bigass vert ramp is you have all the trans you need. If you do fall, you won't hit flat bottom as you would trying them on a smaller quarter. The vert seemed a little more forgiving. Before the session was over I was able to pull a few airs just over the copeing on the smaller ramps in the park.

just like go up to a quarter pipe, dont think of falling either,if you do mess up just put your foot down, you have to over come the little fear you might have of it i guess, when you get to the top just pull up and turn your head and try to look at the quarter pipe, and your back should turn with it,youll probally clip a few times, but nothing to serious. hope that helps Just to get by,we keepin it fly.

Starting out takes time. You're not going to be airing far out of quarters for a while. try carving the qarter, just ride in an arc across it, until you get real comfortable on your bike. Ride up the quarter onto the deck, drop back in, you'll get the feel for it after not too long. Peace, Love, and Bob Marley ^____^

before you even want to trick a quarter you wanna know how to air it. Carve it at first then while your carving it, at the peak let yourself float and you'll be semi airing. I know for me it took a while but now I can blast quarters at about 10 feet. To trick a quarter you need to go on a quarter you are most comfortable one, air it a few times then try adding in a trick. you might wanna start with x ups just because they are easy to throw in and dont throw your body off to bad. Just go up twist the bars, twist back and let it flow. Now if your doing a turndown or something that twists your body you have to do alot of stuff to guarentee you'll land. but we'll save that for later!
