^^ While those are all Old Testament texts, I agree that the Bible should never be taken literally. But taking things into context is a big difference.
Some people study history and the Bible, and come to realize that many passages have symbolism that was used so that they wouldn't be put to death (which would happen if the Romans knew what they were writing about). If you study and learn what the meanings of some passages are, and what certain symbols usually represented, you can get a better understanding of passages that seem crazy.
But I was under the impression that the holy scriptures of Islam were more straightforward and did not contain much use of symbolism on the authors' part for fear of their life.

I think Muslims believe in men having more power and control over women and children

You could say Christians beleive the same.

that's exactly what I was thinking.

^^ So you're saying that most Christians would be okay with this situation? That's what I thought.

At the end of the day, it comes down to the fact that ALL religions are dangerous, as well as ALL people who follow them. Period.

If that makes you angry, and there's a good chance it does, then you are simply proving my point.

Religion truly is the opiate of the masses.

Even Budhists?

What about Davidians?

Hell, how many Mormons are sniping abortion doctors or burning down KFCs?

Who's burning down KFC's? I never heard that one.

I think I mentioned the abortion example already though. Whenever some so-called Christian tries to kill or hurt an abortion clinic worker, all the other Christians immediately go crazy making sure everybody knows that this isn't the way to protest. In the Middle East, I never hear any outcry from the people about how they wish they would stop getting a bad name from situations like this one. I think they should try the judge for murder.

KFC Burned to the Ground in Pakistan:

The reason you never hear it is becuase you get two sources of info; pro-Israel, and anti-Muslim.

Wait till the Arabs throw an all out whatever riding style BMX JAM:
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi people, I'm sure no rider especially pros would pass that if it's an all expense paid free invite:sure shock sell out.
They fork whatever it takes for their shindigs and to top el'grande finale gesture they'd throw in a
out a whole lotta woman (belly dancers) for riders after pleasure. No one will care if it's a phunking Muslim's promoting
"World BMX throw down", or who's warring where what who and why....

LOL! I have a meeting tomorrow about tourism/sports but in within Sauga: Boring! I'll be going to Abu Dhabi in either Oct-Nov for 2-3
days I can't wait to fly United Arabs Airline. It's the safest way to travel the east right now. I either don on Tibetan robes or keep it absolutely fem and wear a Sari. Neutral

ART of War baby know it inside out.
