Well, of course it did. It seems nice to have a section for female riders but why should they be segregated from any other forum. If they are riders then gender shouldn't be an issue. Maybe we should have a left handers or red head forum?

I have nothing against anyone riding but I never saw much point in this forum.

well now.... for the sake of doing this thread right...
Here's my say.

I agree with Pwh4130. (sorry if i got that wrong.)
I agree whole heartedly... but here's why I for one have appreciated this forum.

Back in the day I used to sit at a distance and watch the riders of Hamilton now including my present husband and crazy brother-in-law.

I had a bike, I knew how to back scuff, get into it, and geradors - if that's how you spell it - and squeakers and a few other things here and there.

I wanted to be friends with those cool people, but at the same time thought that those bunch of boys wouldn't take me seriously. they'd see me as some stupid girl/slut looking for some attention.

Boy was I wrong. (moral of the day: ASSUMPTIONS ARE MOST ALWAYS ALWAYS WRONG AND VERY VERY BAD) I have never ever had so much support and encouragement from anywhere. Riding with them is awesome.. They have been so open minded to me coming in with them. I was just a little orphan girl with a bmx not knowing what the heck i was doing.

all the boy bmxers in my day (winnipeg riders are on my top of favourites-except Terry, he's gay) have been completely cool about it, and indeed encouraging the girl sector to grow. (which i see this forum as... room to grow)

I don't have the luxury of a girl support ride group so i guess that forces me to appreciate boys so much more, and makes me ride that much harder.

The WOF forum can be seen as a segragation thing... but I for one see it as a place for the tiny Girl world of BMX to grow. When a girl or girlfriend of someone who doesn't ride.. comes here and says.. whoa.. I could do this too?

makes it all worth it.

but we can't do that if this forum is dead now can we!!!! Come on people! whip.. whip.. (JK)

that's my pep talk
