| it depends for me...
if i don't want the lever and am getting a new one then ill just bend it off without the moving the grips because most new ones will be hinged. but if im keepin the lever then il teke the grip off. it doesnt happen anymore because i got a hinged lever so can just take it off and on wenever without moving the grips ![]() | |

| Theres a bolt near the hings. It doesnt have to come all the way out, just enough to that it can move freely. Now, take off your grips and slide it out. | |

| if you actually have to 'bend' it to get it off the bars then you should take your grip off with hairspray to avoid breaking it, otherwise, hammer away! | |

| to keep the lever, take away the grips. I t is too dangerous to unbend the lever clamp, because aluminium does not have much maleability(or however it is spelled), it means that aluminium can't be bent and bent too much times, it is too rigid and it will break first.
