Metro Jam Vancouver saw a great turnout for its first ever women's class. The 15 slot class had 14 girls entered although we lost two to injures. Vanessa chipped a piece of bone off her elbow practicing at a local park the day before the contest. Marianne fell while doing a ride wall in practice and took a bar to the gut requiring an overnight stay at the hospital. She tore the wall of her stomach and had 4 stitches in her private area. We all with them both a speedy recovery, and hope to see them riding at next years Vancouver Metro. The biggest tricks of the contest were Kari Olandese with her double peg on top of the bank to wall ride, and Nina with double pegs up and down the kinked rail. Every girl rode amazing and had something special to bring to the class. We would like to thank Jay Miron, Chris, Terry, Paul, and everyone else at MacNeil and Metro Jam for allowing us this opportunity. We can't wait to come back next year!!
