| Try to consentrate on learning from from own mistakes. Don't underestimate, flatland is not easy. develope some kind of technique toward being patient, flatland is patience.

| Im new to flat too, but ive been beating the shit out of myself practicing and feel like im progressing little by little. So I guess practice as much as possible. Also pick up 'ground rules" an instructional video by pro Matt Wilhelm. You can get it at flatlandfuel.com. It really helps me out.
BMXtrix.com has some how to clips and detailed descriptions, even tips by other riders. Keep riding.

flatland is patience. thats exactly what it is, it takes some people months to learn a trick, me included, but once you get it its this great feeling, i dont really know how to describe it, but its pure happiness, dont get discouraged tho... | 2 months??? I've been riding for 20 years and I STILL suck! ;-)
Hang in there - flatland requires that you develop a bunch of different muscles you've never used before - little stabilizer muscles that help with balance and stuff. 2 months is barely enough time to get your mind into flatland, much less your body. Keep riding - try to keep it fun - and practice practice practice... Pags Pretty much as old skool as you get...

| being a beginner is rough. The beginner tricks, the "basics", are some of the hardest things to learn. Work hard, be patient and once you get the basics under your belt things will come together much faster. Getting the Ground Rules DVD will also help a lot. I wish that was around when I was starting out. Patrick Schoolen http://www.flatlandfuel.com | |
