This is a big week for Pedal! We've gotten a new layout, the shout box has returned, those ugly ads have been (temporarily!) removed, and I have added personal galleries. This is just the start of the improvements to come in the near future.
Traffic is picking up recently, and I've seen a good response from the community.
We ALL want to see Pedal back to where it was. Only you can help me do that. Sign up, login and start posting!
Hey everyone, let me know what you think about this new layout. It's still under construction, but I think it's a major improvement. What do you think?
That's right, our RSS feeds are working properly again finally! You can now subscribe and keep up to date on the latest Pedal news with your favorite feed reader.
All is not lost for Pedal. Our loyal members will be greatly rewarded, as Pedal again explodes to number one. Stay tuned ;)
Version 0.0.7 of the Pedal Network comes with many fixes. In no particular order the ones I remember are:

That's right, you can now upload images, movies, documents, archives whatever! There is currently no limit set on how many items you can upload, but there IS a 10MB cap. If you would like to upload something bigger, feel free to e-mail me with details on what and why. Otherwise, feel free to upload images like crazy! You will soon be able to easily insert any uploaded images into blogs, private messages, forum posts and comments!
The purpose of all these changes is finally beginning to show. For one, I have launched the first of hopefully many sister sites, called SnowSk8r.com. It is a snow skating community website, which is a pretty new and very fun sport. The site is the EXACT same site, as far as the code, and the database. The great news is all Pedal members are registered SnowSk8r members! So all you have to do is click the picture of the snow skater at the bottom of the page, login, and begin posting! Sister sites like these are fairly easy to create on my end, and they all improve with Pedal because they use the same code. So, if you have any suggestions for community sites you would like to see, please don't hesitate to request/suggest it.
This actually benefits Pedal greatly, because I'm using the same code on both sites, it speeds my development, and brings in more people using and testing the code out. It also should bring in lots of new traffic, so it's nothing but good news!
I'm also working on re-starting the Pedal BMX team, and getting some new merchandise made.
I have just completed some file-size, and SQL optimzation on the site, so it should be running a bit faster now on both fronts. I also finally caught up the post counts on the forum index, they should be fairly accurate. I'm also working on importing even more older posts, to try and get a large history of posts existing. Then, if I can build out a search properly, and link it with the new posting process, it should really stir up some old threads as opposed to always making new ones.
I am also working on the layout and the banner exchange, mainly I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle them both. The exchange is basically done I just need to finalize the format of the banner code and the images that accompany it. Please keep the great feedback coming, file bug reports, and keep posting!
I truly appreciate everyone who has helped out and stuck through us with all of these changes. I promise the site will keep getting better, and I will be devoting more time to it in the near future.
That's right, BBCode should be working again, but it will be removed yet again if it causes any more problems.
Also, the [url=http://www.pedalbmx.com/links]Links page[/url] has some basic functionality, and you may begin adding links now.
That's right, with the release of Pedal 0.0.5 (it wasn't really one solid release, more everything I changed this week), there have been a lot of bug fixes and additions! Namely:
